Meet a Neighbor Business

Right Brainworks, LLC is a Résumé Writing and Marketing Collateral Writing service owned by Pleasant Pointe neighbor Tim Fitzgerald.

Tim has been writing résumés and coaching others to do so for 12 years.

Doing Business With Neighbors

In the spirit of neighborliness, the HOA is happy to mention our members who would like to encourage Pleasant Pointe neighbors to do business with one another.

If you own a business or even if your work at a business you would like the neighbors to look into, email us at pleasantpointe29851@gmail.com.  Provide your name, the business name, and a paragraph describing the business.  Send your logo if you have one, and a link to your website.

Businesses must meet all licensing requirements established by applicable State and County laws.

Thanks to Gold Ivy Realty

Gold Ivy Realty serves the neighborhood in the role of contracted neighborhood management services. Thanks to Karen and Chris and their diligence in staying on top of notifications, the neighborhood is generally looking its best ever (yes, we know we still have some hold-outs with shaggy yards).  Take a look around with newly-opened eyes and note how nice things are looking.

Next General Membership Meeting

Go ahead and mark your calendars, please.  The HOA annual general membership meeting will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2014, 7:00 p.m. at Pentecost Methodist Church on Pine Log Rd.

Policy for Temporary Signs

To preserve the attractiveness of the Pleasant Pointe entrances, temporary signs relating to open house, yard sales, or other special events may be placed at subdivision entrances for no longer than 48 hours. The Homeowner is responsible to completely remove signs, tape, etc by the expiration of the 48 hour period.

This policy applies subdivision entrances, common areas, and street intersections. Naturally “For sale/lease” signs may be posted on the offered property for as long as needed.

This common-area policy does not apply to such permanent signage as may be approved by the board.  This policy is effective as of August 15, 2013.

HOA to Hold Neighborhood Food Drive - Get Involved

The Pleasant Pointe HOA is holding a special event to help prevent hunger in Aiken.
No need to tell you that times have been tough for many.  Fortunately the CSRA is blessed with a wonderful agency, Golden Harvest Food Bank.  Run by locals, for locals, over its history Golden Harvest Food Bank has fed over 11 million people in its 30 county service area.

The Pleasant Pointe HOA will collect neighborhood donations of canned goods and dry goods (rice, oatmeal, etc.) on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Please place your bagged donations at your mailbox.

We need volunteers to help with the collection.  Please send an email to pleasantpointe29851@gmail.com if you would be kind enough to volunteer to help with us collect that day.

Neighborhood Yard Sale

Let’s have a really giant yard sale!  Yard sales are a great way to make some money, recycle your useful but unneeded items, and remove clutter.  But yard sales work best when they are multi-seller events.  So we thought, "Hey, let's have one for the whole neighborhood and see what happens!"

The HOA will organize a neighborhood-wide yard sale.  There is no cost to participate.  The HOA will cover advertising costs and place signs at the entrances. If you wish to join the sale, simply be ready in your driveway or front yard on the day of the event.  To protect the common areas we will not be holding any sales except from homeowners' yards.

If this is a success, we are considering making it an annual event for the neighborhood.

The first neighborhood yard sale is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 2014.  If you have ideas or suggestions - especially about successful advertising, email us at pleasantpointe29851@gmail.com.
